CAP purchased units for each region as well as additional trays for use in other region aircraft.   This enables CAP to move the RCOM-100 unit to another aircraft quickly when necessary.  For easy access, the RCOM-100 should be located in the rear baggage compartment.  This allows the unit to be removed and installed easily.

Under no circumstances should the unit be located behind the rear bulkhead or any other area that would make access difficult.   This not only makes removal and installation difficult, but also makes it difficult to check the unit if problems occur.
